The Shire of South Keep Presents: A Murder on the Frontier Saturday June 24th 2000 Camp Greynolds, Miami Gardens Drive and NE 22nd Ave. N Miami Beach FL. The year is 1032, the place is Northern Al Andalus, the Thugur or military frontier zone of Muslim occupied Spain. It is the time of the Taifa states. The Umayyad Caliphate has collapsed into anarchy and the individual rulers of cities like Zaragossa, Valencia and Toledo have proclaimed themselves kings, and now fight over the remains over the once proud Caliphate. Meanwhile the Christian Kings of Leon and Navarre are planning the invasion of the fallen empire an enterprise that will be known as the "Reconquista". It is in such a place that we find ourselves at the Ribat (fortress) of a Governor of the King of Zaragossa. The Governor has hired Christian mercenaries to bolster his meager defenses. The life here is good. Occasional Raids from the County of Barcelona and the Kingdom of Toledo break the otherwise uneasy truce. The Tribute Payment that is made to Leon is coming through this fortress, and there are those who do not approve of Christian Mercenaries or the payment of Tributes. And so the stage is set for ..A Murder on the Frontier Site opens 9:00AM Saturday the 24th till ???? More Information will be posted on this Event Coming Soon Check back often This is a WET site.
